Principal Exclusions and Limitations

Medical Health Requirements

Cover does not apply if you, your travelling companions, or any person on whom your travel plans depend have a medical condition, illness, or injury which you or they knew about before you bought this insurance, or which develops before you book any trip to which this insurance applies. It is very important that you refer to the Medical Health Requirement Clause on pages 6 and 7 of the Policy Wording, as you may be able to obtain cover for such medical conditions by contacting us. If you have any other queries regarding cover, you should also contact us.

War and Terrorism

War and terrorist activities, and the like, are covered under Sections 5, 6 and 7, except if involving chemical, biological, or nuclear events, but such activities are not covered under other sections of the Policy or under any sections if the event was already taking place at the start of any trip.

Hazardous Holiday Activities and Pursuits

You are not covered for anything caused directly or indirectly by participation in professional or organised sport, winter sports, racing, speed or endurance tests, or other dangerous activities (unless agreed by us and the appropriate premium has

Personal Property, Photographic Equipment (enhanced) and Golf Equipment (enhanced)

Cover is provided for loss, damage, or theft of your Personal Baggage, including Personal Money and loss of certain documents. Cover is only provided up to maximum amounts for individual items, page valuable items, and cash within the overall limit. The Summary of Cover provides full details of these limits.

Excesses

Certain sections of cover are subject to an excess applying to each claim. An excess means that you are responsible for the first sum per person per incident when you claim. The amount of any excess is detailed in the Policy Wording on the Summary of Cover page. You may remove the excesses upon payment of the appropriate premium.
